There's lots of local taxes that get covered. Convention center "tax," "XYZ" (say riverfront or historical site) improvement "tax," "special purpose" tax (say to offer bus service in downtown area) etc... the list goes on.
The question was asking you to cite what you consider to be "deceptive" "advertis[ing]" by chains. Not, what taxes have been covered on some theoretical stays you've had.
