And from my experiences last year, they can only be applied to a new ticket of the same routing. So if your cancelled return is JFK-LHR, you can only use on a future flight JFK-LHR. The justification was that the credit was based on a round-trip calculated pair between specific cities. I am still sitting on a credit from TPA-DCA, which I do not know how much for. (I was also told you can only determine the value once I put TPA-DCA on hold, then call in to have the credit applied, at which time they call the pricing desk for the calculation).

If anyone has data points which contradict, please share.
