The staff at SGS really care - I don’t think I’ve ever had the hotel GM come out at both check-in and check-out to talk to me at any other hotel. The rooms are immaculate and incredibly comfortable. The lobby areas are beautiful. Breakfast in Rossini’s was delicious. Elites get free smoothies, etc. all day in the bar. Evening service comes with live music.
The SGS isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s not good to go in with too high of expectations. But, it’s easily my favorite property in the Marriott portfolio globally after my stay last year. I’ll be staying next month for 3 whole nights - I usually never stay anywhere longer than 1 night at a time.
