Since there hasn't been a review for a long time - here it is.
Paid stay, 2 nights, Diamond
This place really shouldn't be under the Hilton brand anymore. It should be a Garden Inn or - since it has a bar and a dinner place - a low end Doubletree at best.
The executive lounge is still closed and according to front desk used as an event location, so I wouldn't expect it to reopen as a lounge. Diamond status was completely neglected, no upgrade, no benefits except for the mandatory 15$ credit and plastic water bottles.
The rooms are ok, clean and big enough, albeit the technical maintenance is lacking. The ice machine on my floor is so loud you can hear it from 3 rooms away, the fridge in the room makes loud, wind-like noise. A request for maintenance didn't result in an improvement. The AC enclosure is hanging half off the wall.
Only rooms 01-03 on each level are not facing I75, so I would recommend those. The pool area is well equipped but quite loud due to the closeness to the highway.
On the good side, both the bar and the breakfast are priced decently (for Florida). Wine by the glass is 11-12$, breakfast 22.50$ (including made-to-order eggs, not including coffee specialities). The lobby/bar area is nice. And there is still the hotel's horse cart
