No, not interested in a positioning flight, this is primarily a work trip involving speaking in US/Canada, Australia, Europe and I don't want to faff around in advance of the travel I actually need.
I found my problem. It was a married segment unavailability for PER-LHR-(destination in europe), but there was availability by terminating the sector in LHR and then doing the LHR to intra european segment as a separate item by adding a manual stopover, even without >24 hours spent in LHR.
