Nothing Phone (2A) possibly a new contender for a Osaifu Keitai/Mobile Suica enabled Android device. It is considered a mid-range/budget priced phone rather than flagship, so not sure if they'll also limit Mobile Suica to JP purchased models or possibly tie it to a region setting to save on the Felica licensing fees.

12 GB JP model starts shipping end of March with 8GB release to be announced.

It is dual nano pSIM, possibly stand-by https://www.gsmarena.com/nothing_phone_(2a)-12760.php

Nothing's OS update policy is 3 years major updates and 4 years security https://9to5google.com/2023/06/01/no...pdates-policy/ while Pixel 7A gets 3 years major updates and 5 years security

Unlocked Pixel 7A purchased in JP about 47,000 if you do COD https://kakaku.com/keitai/smartphone/model/M0000001005/ or 54,000 via official store https://store.google.com/jp/product/pixel_7a?hl=ja and comes with pSIM + eSIM dual setup. I've read Pixels are fairly popular in Japan, too, so there's probably a bit more community support.
