Sitting on a pile of 400 000 miles and being unable to use these as we want it ( upgradin from C to F still seems biggest bang for buck ) makes me wonder how we can spend them on other Staralliance flights as SQ from BRU to Changi or anything else going into Asia ?
Your better option is to cancel upgrade request with miles and check for the fixed price upgrade and also submit bid for upgrade offer. You may find quite reasonable price offer if A class is available. In any case, LH prefers cash over miles or eV. The se two instruments are very down in the priority chain for BKK flights.
You can submit cash bid and then wait list again with miles.
