Similar issue with others where an MR transfer appeared instantly in my Aeroplan activity, but the available miles counter did not appear to update for several hours. However, the Aeroplan mobile app allowed me to use those transferred miles even with the miles counter still showing a lower balance. The website did not allow me to make this booking, so there seems to be some odd difference in IT functionality between the website and mobile app platforms.
