LH MUC- BKK and BKK - MUC , booked in C and wanting to upgrade to F on A380 for flights in Dec.

2 pax , each upgrade @ 85000 pp so total of 340000 miles if both get done from C to F

Booked / paid cash in C , 11 months ahead , leaving on Dec. 04 , return on Dec. 25 and called M&M helpline to request upgrades to F after making booking

No , all my upgrade requests are waitlisted for flight on Dec. 04 and flight on Dec. 25
Were you happy with the award booking procedure (e.g. online/by phone)?
No , impossible to upgrade online to F using miles , had to call several M&M 'help'-centers to even get my request in for upgrade with miles from C ( paid for Z and P fares ) . Finally called to German M&M on english line to put in request which were then both promptly waitlisted !
How often did you have to check/call until you got the seats?
Still waitlisted 6 days after making booking and calling for upgrade requests ; most recent call to M&M help center yesterday did not help to get upgrades processing done even with both F cabins at 8 free seats to and from BKK on dates of travel ...
Still waitlisted for upgrade to F , now 2.5 months after booking in C !
Booked and paid for this ticket on Jan. 04 , 2024 for flight BRU-MUC-BKK outgoing on Dec. 04 and return on Dec. 25 .
MUC-BKK and BKK-MUC are both on A380 so we hoped for easy upgrade for 2 pax from Z and P to F but.... on Mar. 24 still waitlisted
Does mod or anyone else have insight how frequently the waitlist for upgrade to F is looked at and
considering we are probably first 2 requests on both lists which chance we have for upgrades ?
Does yield manager look every week , every month or is it all A.I . and done automatically at departure minus 3 months ??
Sitting on a pile of 400 000 miles and being unable to use these as we want it ( upgradin from C to F still seems biggest bang for buck ) makes me wonder how we can spend them on other Staralliance flights as SQ from BRU to Changi or anything else going into Asia ?
