per Delta.com:

does that mean i can cancel the flight (if i can't make it) and get a new eCredit with a new expiration date? that's the way i read it.
does it need to be a refundable fare?

i'm going to ask them to convert it to miles, but need to know my options if they won't.
Book a dummy flight 11 months (330 days) from now for a slightly higher amount with a credit card. Then wait for a schedule change (even by one minute) then get an ecredit good for another year.
