Think about it this way- 100,000 miles is equivalent to circumnavigating the globe four times, at the equator.

I fly standby very often, and when I approach the gate agent, I often get, "Oh. Are you the ExPlat on the flight?"

True, I don't run NewYork and LA very often, but in the midwest, they seem rather scarce to me.
