I used to stay at the Pullman Grande Asoke (Hilton Grande Asoke now) and the Novotel Silom (Hilton Garden Inn Silom now) in 2017-2019 when I lived in Thailand and would want to do a "staycation" in a different part of the city than my neighborhood. Both properties were excellent then, but over time, they really went downhill - especially the Silom property. It seemed that, unlike the Sofitel, several of the ibis Styles, the Banyan Tree, and a few other Accor properties, which all got facelifts over time (the Sofitel just finished, I believe, last summer), these two were just let go. Until they undergo work, I'm not going to be staying at them again (I'm living in the States now but go back to Thailand for a month each year). If looking at Hilton properties in the city, I choose The Conrad - it is outstanding and the service is great; location-wise, it's not the best, but they run a shuttle every 15 minutes to the BTS, and the pool is great.
