Success (Yes / No): No for BFS, Yes for exit row seats accepted 24 hours before departure.

As an additional data point, the bids for my girlfriend and I for two exit row seats were accepted but when the system assigned our seats we were split up. I got 25A and she got 11E. Tried to ask via the customer support chat if my girlfriend could be reassigned to row 25 next to me since the rest of the row is open aside from my seat and was told it would incur the $42 seat assignment charge. Gonna try and ask a gate agent before the flight to see if they can help move us together.
Were you on the same record locator/reservation?

The charge for changing seats is a technology limitation on the Spirit side as far as how the charge from SeatBid is applied to the reservation, as far as which service code it uses for purposes of tracking revenue source. Any company using the same bid product and the same reservations system is going to have similar issues.

An airport agent can move you easily and it shouldn't be a problem. Just tell them you won bids and got seats apart. Sometimes it will let you do it while checking in.
