Now that I dropped to Silver I use EF all the time. It will be interesting to test to see whose notifications come first, EF or UA, if you are trying to snag E+ on a full flight inside of 24h.
UA should win this hands down. They have the real time data. EF has to do periodic checks against alerts which don't happen every minute or even every 10 minutes. My guess is UA will win this 99.99999% of the time barring technical glitches on the UA IT side.
