So I'm halfway through my trip and can answer my own questions:
- No lounge is true for CDG Terminal 1 but only because CZ has no agreement there. I've received € 41.00 in vouchers to spend in the restaurants of Terminal 1.
- Lounge was available for my transit in CAN.
- While I couldn't see my FQT-# in the booking, it was there anyway and appeared on the boarding pass.
- Flights were all on time and very smooth, service impeccable, food plenty (almost too much actually) and in good quality.
- Transfer in CAN is a breeze, business class travellers enjoy many benefits, even got called in front of the document check and security line.
- Luggage delivery at my final destination MNL was very fast, my suitcases came out first.
Soon to start the return flight. I was able to book the free transit hotel online. I chose the
Pullman which seems to be within the perimeter of CAN airport or even attached to terminal. Following this
link at the bottom there's a big "book now" button which lead to this
page. It was all very easy, just hat to input my ticket-# name and e-mail and was all set. I was able to book two rooms for the three of us. No e-mail confirmation was given, though. So I made screenshots of the bookings just in case.
