For those who have been to SEZ, how pleasant would it be to potentially have to sit there for hours? Anything outside of the airport nearby to pass the time? Is it feasible given security, etc to leave for a bit or is it an airport where you have to be present 3 hours early?

Having trouble finding flights that actually align nicely to the transfer schedule
Haven’t been to WA Platte but from what I know the transfer looks similar to Four Seasons Desroches. In that case being there 30 minutes ahead of the flight is more than enough. It is a small plane much more like a private charter than a regular flight. A rep will meet you in the arrivals hall and take you to the flight to Desroches. You can easily leave the airport between flights, e.g. take a taxi or rent a car to see the island.

Anyway for Seychelles (unlike Maldives) I would recommend to see some of the islands and not just sit on one private island. I would recommend seeing Mahe and the inner islands and go to a private island like Platte or Desroches for diving and relaxing afterwards.
