If departing eg.2 weeks today, depending on which combination of flights you are on £822 each is either a small fraction of the cost of paying the fare difference so comparatively good value (if the figure quoted was for all 3 of you), or it would be quite a bit cheaper to just pay the fare difference instead and receive the full J benefits. So the figure quoted on its own may not tell the full story in this instance and it's worth checking to assess its comparative value.
