Booking on hold - currency question
A couple of days ago I looked for flights NBO —> YVR. I was on the BA Canada website, where it showed me prices in “$5xxx”. Without even thinking about it I took this to be CAD since I was on the Canada web site. I decided to pay the small deposit to hold for 72 hours. The confirmation email arrives and it shows the same price but in USD. I went back to the Canada web site and nowhere does it indicate USD.
Is this normal, or is there a glitch somewhere? How can I confirm which is the correct currency?
