The formal position is that the liquid restrictions remain in place, after all the system may go down and you have to use one of the legacy channels. So if you ask HAL, this is the answer they will have to give. I suspect that unofficially, as with the Flight Connections scanner, liquids will be allowed - staff are being trained in the new set up, not the old.
This is the line BA are going with in relation to the First Wing, as there’s always the possibility of scanners going down and nobody’s going to take the wrap for a passenger having to throw away a £500 250ml bottle of perfume.
