Is catching the train pretty easy as far as there is good signage? Is there a transfer or its just straight from the airport to Alstadt/Old town? Lastly, can you use your credit card for the ticket? Recently in Tokyo I messed up and waited in a line to get a ticket for the monorail but you needed cash and I had to go back out and use the ATM.
