I need to get 100 tier points to hit Silver and I have until the end of April to do it. I used the Tier points calculator and it looks like I can book a round trip AA flight that has a layover. The flight is LGA > CLT > MCO.

LGA > CLT should be 40 points if I book Business class. CLT > MCO should be 40 points (also business class).

Return would be another 20 points (if I book flexible Economy).

I would book through British Airways website. Does this make sense? My wife and I were thinking of doing a short weekend getaway.

Anything I should be aware of or look out for with this plan?
