Make sure you tell hotel management and Marriott that you cancelled due to the hotel refusing to honour the terms of their membership agreement.
That's how you get hotel management to follow the rules they've agreed to.
If their response is they don't need the business from Marriott Elite members, that's good information to have.
Looks like the full breakfast is alive and well again at this property. We ended up emailing with Javier who is the concierge and he confirmed it.
