On other news, there are rumors that the Ministry of Transportation would open the Airport - Halkalı section before the local elections which is two weeks later.
At the time of this post, there is no published opening date and I haven't seen any publicity about opening events on billboards in Istanbul, however, if this is true, we should be knowing the answer within the upcoming days.
As an update, only the first section of the extension would open today featuring two stops ( Tayakadın and Arnavutköy )

This could be useful to avoid those expensive tourist trap hotel shuttles or waiting for the Havaist or H-6 bus for hotels in that area.
