Flew on AC649 YQM to YYZ in J on Feb 28 and hot meal was not offered. We all received a smoked salmon plate, similar to what I have received on YOW to YYZ in the past. I recall in the past on flights of that duration (2 hours 32 minutes) receiving a hot meal with salad, choice of entree, bread and dessert. Does anyone know if they have changed the flight duration thresholds for meal offerings?
Last year I flew often from YHZ, YSJ, YQM and YYT to YYZ and noticed that only YHZ and YYT were catered with hot meals. Both YQM and YSJ flights were the cold snacks you described. It’s especially unfortunate as there are no lounge offerings in YQM or YSJ.
