Just completed a stay here in March. Unfortunately the renovations are not complete and I wouldn't expect them to be completed before the summer. As well the constant theme in our heads was "Oh they changed that, that is too bad I liked that" In my opinion they are trying to move away from being a "Resort" to being a conference / event Hotel. While that is good for some, I used to come here to vacation and enjoy the resort activities. Staff are service are still excellent and the parking is free again. I have been a regular at this hotel for 20+ years, and I couldn't help but think that I may likely not return again as it turns from a resort to a convention hotel.
I have tried to capture some photos to show what it is currently like. I will post again later some artist concept photos that they had displayed in the lobby.
View from just outside main lobby at the main pool. Notice they took away the garden above the hot tub. Not sure if they are building anything there to replace it.
This pool is up and running. Note less chairs by the pool and more cabanas taking up the space.
The old Regency Club patio. CLOSED for good. NOTE they took away the beautiful pond and replaced with a cement pad.
Better view of the cement pad where the pond garden used to be.
Lovely view from the room.
