Calling all vegans: more pasta?

Amuse-bouche: tomato with mango caviar. Magnifique! The flight attendant served it twice; perhaps she got her Qsuites mixed up. I gladly gobbled up the second helping.

Tandoori prawns with kachumber salad. On point!

Gulf-style chicken biryani with mint raita. Surprisingly good for ex-US catering!

Key lime cheesecake. Dreadful let-down by Floridian standards: no citrus zing and a tad stale.

Afternoon tea: disgraceful! Scones and accoutrement were decent. However, the sandwiches were bland and the chocolate mini-muffin was an abomination; inferior to anything one would find in a grocery store. Sadly, there were no delicate pastries or petits fours. DFW catering seriously dropped the ball on this one.

Breakfast: strawberry smoothie + Greek yoghurt with orange compote and toasted granola.

Cheddar cheese omelette with salted beef hash cake and Béarnaise sauce. Unmemorable at best.

Sign of the times? Third trans-con QR flight this year during which Läderach chocolate was not proactively offered prior to landing. Apparently, there was a shortage. Upon request, the flight attendant graciously proffered two boxes. Bless her! Other pax received none. Ask and ye shall receive.
