Is it possible to purchase a 1 day or 1 month pass for my son to be used in London upon arrival for lounge access?
or
Should I purchase an Admirals club membership for him so he can use the club on his own- domestic and OUS?

Goal is for the 3 of us to be able to get access to the Admirals Club arrival lounge to shower and relax before flight to Spain.
Also, do you have to book the showers ahead of departure to London. Have never used them.
Thank you!
Assuming your flight to Valencia is on BA in coach? BA's VLC are currently operating from Terminal 3 at LHR.

As a AA Platinum you are oneworld sapphire. You and a guest, travelling on a BA flight from LHR T3, will have access to 4 lounges:
  • the AA Admirals club
  • the Cathay Pacific business class lounge
  • the BA lounge
  • the Qantas lounge
All have showers.

I think this would work - to get all three of your party showers without paying you could:
  • You and spouse enter lounge 1 together, shower, while son waits in terminal
  • You leave lounge 1, get son, enter a different lounge with son, son showers
This of course means splitting up, but with 6 hours you have plenty of time.

The Cathay and Qantas lounges are both better than the Admiral's club.

There's no booking showers in advance, you just show up at the lounge.
