Not sure where else I could stay. I was thinking about the Hilton Dockland - which has a lounge. I usually refer IC or SPG but all of them seems too far away. Any recommendations (FS will not fly with my boss

Do NOT stay at the Hilton Docklands if it is the one in SE16 / Surrey Quays. This is built in the middle of a housing estate in the middle of nowhere (I live close to it). It was built as apartments but when they failed to sell in the 1990's housing crash it was turned into a hotel.
You are a good mile from a tube station. The only practical way out of the hotel is to take the hotel's boat across to Canary Wharf and pick up the DLR / tube there, but you are reliant on the boat being there when you want it.
