Flights around Chinese New Year is a different animal. You are fighting with way more people. I applied all my upgrades for ONT 11 months well in advance (and that's not even peak season). CI do release them from time to time if you are Emerald or Paragon (and you keep nagging them).[/QUOTE]

Thanks for that, yes last time we eventually were able to get business class upgrades from TPE to AMS but i made so many phone calls and pushed them over about 2 or 3 months.

So it looks like i best to start the process again.
