I took my girlfriend to Bar Medici, a new "Italian Renaissance" restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri which opened on December 22nd, 2023. I saw an article about them in the Kansas City Star which intrigued me, so it seemed like a good choice for a birthday celebration.

We started the following items in photographic order:

1) Focaccia with Calabrian chili butter




2) Polpette (meatballs, crushed tomato sauce and grada padano)




3) Carne Cruda (beef tartare, black truffle, egg yolk, artichoke, sage cracker)



I selected the Scaloppine (scallops, n'duja saffron risotto, charred broccolini) for my main course.




For dessert, I had the seasonal sorbetto (a lemon mixture) and one chocolate chip cannoli.





Everything was delicious!
