I can confirm that this is not your typical Courtyard. We got better treatment than I had in many 5* properties in US/Europe. The hotel is new and clean. The staff is great and attentive; to the point that there was a person pushing a button for us to get the elevator. Breakfast is comped in local restaurant and with a nice spread. You have to book for Saturday and Sunday via QR code. Lounge at 14th floor is open 1 to 9 pm with happy hour 6 to 8 pm. Free flowing booze and 4 hot dishes + some selection of cold dishes. Very nice and of good quality. We booked Taipei 101 view king and this is what we got b/c they were sold out. No complaints here. 4 pm checkout was proactively granted. Location is ok. There is direct bus to Taipei 101 area and the MRT is like 10 minutes walk so you'll be fine. You can take the MRT to TPE with one change. If there is one thing that one could complain about, it would be the size of the rooms which is on the smaller side even thought we had the second highest room category. Unlike previous poster we did not get wine but we did get pineaple cakes. Overall, a great hotel and I will definitely stay again when I'm in Taipei.
