Non schengen to non schengen there should be away the op would not need to clear immigration, so that particular issue is unlikely.

Op, travel.is unpreductable. Occasionally things go wrong

My last 2 departures fro jnb we got stuck because of a lightening storm over the airport.

I have had a departure from krk go belly up at 6am because a passenger was drunk and refused to put on their seat belt.

I have taxied outvto the runway at heathrow and then not been able to take off for 3 hours because ba's it failed

I have been held up departing lhr because the fire alarm went off in the air traffuc control tower.

I have had hundreds of flights go on time.

You have no connection protection, you need to look at your options and way up the risks if you miss it.
