A Starpoint is worth much more than an HHonors point, so you can't really compare by the number of points awarded. For example, a typical luxury hotel room costs 30000-40000 HHonors points but only 10000-12000 Starpoints. You may be getting 3X as many points with HHonors but they only go 1/3 as far!
