HHonors AMEX has 3 pts/$ and no annual fee but SPG AMEX has only 1 pt/$ and 30$ fee from 2nd year.

The advantage for SPG AMEX is when you xfer the points. If you xfer 20K SPG adds 5K making it 25K. So the net yield in SPG card is 1.25pt/$

I have both and use them equally almost. HHonors have had double points promotions in the past making it better for limited times.
