As a matter of fact, that idiotic Google maps makes me walk all the way around the park, in one instance walking by the Yoyogi gate before getting to the Sangubashi gate.

Fair enough. Clearly it's not perfect. I'd still argue it's good enough, and many people in Japan (myself included) don't use iPhones.
I use google maps on iphone plus common sense.
