Fun Memory from Lunch (when it was the First Lounge)
I used to go to the lounge frequently a few years past.
They often had a ribeye steak as an option, made to order. I always asked for it be "cooked" rare. This caused some confusion amongst the staff, and they sent the manager out to speak to me. They insisted on making a copy of my passport, but always got my steak as I wanted.
At first I was wondering about the requirement of having a photo copy of my passport, as no other meal seemed to required it. My wife and I discussed it, and although there was no confirmation, we concluded that they wanted to notate the "rare" steak order so in case there was some sort of ensuing medical complication for eating "under cooked" meat, they would have the info to pass along to any inquiring officials, whoever they might be.
