Here's the thing. AA will often show a cheaper fare with a tight connection and even provide a warning that the connection is tight. But people book it because it's cheap. Then their first flight arrives 5-10 minutes late at the gate (very expected with AA) and suddenly their connecting flight is well within boarding. Do I feel sorry for them? No.
So blame the passenger because they bought a flight AA sold them and then AA was late arriving so they missed the flight?
