Sorry to bring up an old thread, but looking for advice. Trying to renew my US passport. My current passport only list 'US STATE, USA'. No city listed. My birth certificate only lists the county I think. When filling out the DS-82, it says to list the city, state if US birthplace, but otherwise City & country if outside the US.

Has anyone renewed in this situation and only listed state and USA? Say 'California, USA'?
