As someone who is accessing MLLs through a United Club membership, I've noticed the entry method is different at YVR and SFO.
At YVR transborder, the rep said they couldn't manually enter my UC credentials to let me in. Instead, I have to show him the digital card in the UA app (think he wants to see that is under my name), then I scan the bar code with the scanner, and then scan my BP.
At SFO, I can't use the e-gate. The agent has to manually enter my UC credential and bp information into their system. Then I was let in. No scanning whatsoever.
