Since Hash House is an independent chain, I assume they negotiated a certain % reimbursement from Hyatt corporate. But the tip has to go to the servers directly so I assume it's full value.
I don't see how this is sustainable. For a $22 room I can charge $100 at Hash House. At 18% the tip is $18 already.
Its always good form to leave some additional gratuity in cash so the server gets it.
They typically don't get more than 15% I believe
when tips are covered.I always tip the extra for good service and a lot extra for exceptional service.
Once the bean counters see how much the tabs are I imagine rates will rise accordingly
Lets hope our fellow WOH members respectfully don't abuse their privileges in the meantime
so we as elite members desirable guests that the hotel wishes to upgrade each and every time
