The Max was heavily influenced by the demands of WN, AA & FR. That's where they went wrong. BUt a story for a different thread, me thinks.
It is probably just difficult to avoid the 7M8 anyway. 7M8’s J product is also pretty good among AC narrow bodies.
I am probably more likely to die driving to the airport than flying a 7M8.
