The elephant in the room is that Kayak are reporting that searches by airframe manufacturer by route are increasingly strong in favour of Airbus equipment over Boeing equipment.
This is possibly a transitory problem but if I were AC’s fleet procurement manager, I would diversify away from Boeing and increase my Airbus share of my long haul fleet.
The recent problems with Boeing aircraft may be an airline maintenance problem rather than an airframe manufacturing problem but I would not bet the farm on that outcome.
