Just hope the weather does not get any warmer. I was in Hirosaki on April 21 last year and blossoms were long gone. Same in morioka, kakunodate, kitakami, you name it, done. Got some in Yoochi. lOL. But was there for whiskey.

But with a month to go, anything can happen. In fact, the festival in Hirosaki moved up a week started on April 21 and it was basically sitting under green leaves other than some late bloomers. I had planned to be BEFORE cherry blossoms since I was not looking for that but it was long done. Also, pretty much zero snow either in Aomori, sapporo, otaru and everywhere else in late April.

The weather is changing and it appears the sakura is the barometer of climate change.
