I spend one week in Kyoto and I did not visit everything there is (although I did do a lot already), I would also not split with Osaka and just stay in Kyoto and not go to Nara who deserves two days in its own right. I guess you are aware Kyoto is suffering from overtourism. If you do not go to several major attractions either at dawn or dusk, it will be very crowded. I would keep that into account.
