I’ve been a Glob for 6 years now and 100% of the time that I travel with additional guests needing a 2nd room I have always booked it as a guest of honor. Never once expecting it to be extended just from my status to me that’s just bizarre to have that expectation.
Then for some to have that expectation when paying a $20/night rate is just absurd.
I will mention it was offered to me without asking and I was paying for both rooms
On some rare occasions in the past I have requested another join us but said I would be happy to pay for it
and almost always been offered it Complimentary.
But my data points aren’t recent.And of course the guest of honor easily solves the problem when appropriate
However I’d rather pay for the breakfast as World of Hyatts cost to redeem points now are frequently absurdly higher than cash rates driving me to some other programs more often than in the past
Rio @ 9000 points and up vs 20 to 60:dollars a night is just one glaring example when it should be 5000 points weekdays
