Just called the 1K desk to ask about using a regional upgrade on a multi-leg fliht tomorrow and had to navigate about 5-6 questions from an Interactive Voice Response system. I've never had this before on the 1K line - usually it's the 4-5 options, press a number, etc. Is this the new resevations standard? These systems always fustrate me since more often than not I'm using them on my cell phone, in a rental car, in the airport, etc. and it takes 2-3 tries to get it to work ....
