Stayed one night on points. No Suite upgrade for this Titanium member: was bumped a single category to Panoramic room, which I suppose I should be grateful for, as when enquiring about that room's availability for a second night they told me these were sold out. For all the talk about full-occupancy, this feels like the least busy Bonvoy hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and that suited me just fine. The Club Lounge is fantastic and a highlight of the property. It looks, feels and is fresh -- has to be among the newest purpose-built (not counting renos) Club Lounges in the Marriot-verse. Not only can you easily get a table at evening cocktails but the one next to you may not even be occupied. I'm usually a self-pour guy, but was in a full-service mood this stay, so really appreciated the free flow of Negronis and sparkling wine brought to the table. Breakfast in the restaurant was also great. Only major downside: the rooms (even the Panoramic) are small and HCMC isn't HK, so that's definitely an area where this property has a disadvantage to Sheraton, LM, etc... Some might also include location in that, but I really don't mind not being in Central Saigon and the park across the street is one of of my favorite outdoor spots in the city. There's also the convenience of the mall downstairs and the restaurant/bar row of Pham Viet Chanh is a 6 min Grab/cab. So, overall, yes, I'd return, although LM Saigon remains my Number 1. If booking on points, I've seen as low as 19k and that's pretty good value if it works for your dates (it did not, in my case).
