Had my first EU261 claim with BA for a delayed flight from SVQ to LGW. No mention of any option to make a claim at either the airport or on the aircraft. Submitted a claim as soon as I landed in LGW in the early hours of the morning and received no e-mail confirmation but luckily took a screen shot of the claim number. Checked the claim status through the online chat and it simply said case closed. Called customer service and they had no idea whether it was approved or denied. Received the compensation in my account 9 days after the flight in question. I guess one could say it was quite efficient aside from being completely in the dark about what was going on throughout the process. Still have not gotten any e-mail from BA saying the compensation was processed.
