I understand exit seats are sought after, but in each case there were plenty of other middle seats free and the passengers taking the middle seats were either non-status or Gold. (I saw the boarding passes). I refuse to pay the currently exorbitant CE fares on this route for the free middle seat which is the single benefit I get for the extra fare considering I get the rest with status and the meal is mostly inedible anyway.

Are ground staff willingly overriding TS or does this not apply to the Euroflyer brand ?
Not sure but I’ve had very similar happen recently at LGW - non status pax put in middle exit row seat when plenty of other seats available elsewhere in the cabin and TS was blocking the seat next to me. Didn’t make a whole lot of difference but obviously something had been overridden.
