Check-in didn't go smoothly, front desk and related services wouldn't help me book some hotel services and told me to call the departments themselves to set them up, no welcome gift besides the bare minimum breakfast vs. points (when others have previously reported hand-written notes, little gifts like macarons, or even half bottle of champagne/wine), minimal room upgrade (also got a horrible room with bad view + low floor) despite multiple better rooms available and refusal to allow me to move to a better room midway through my stay, cold front desk staff.

I have had better service and felt more welcomed at the Cleveland Fairfield and the "cheap" low-to-mid-tier hotels in NYC.
